In an ever-changing society, it is imperative for mental and behavioral health professionals to remain current. Support and networking are necessary to meet the increasing mental health needs and professional expectations within the school environment. Consulting with other professionals in a confidential setting enhances one’s skills and abilities. In order to foster student success, a team approach is most effective.
Unfortunately, professionals providing mental and behavioral health services in urban, non-public schools are often isolated and without collegial partnerships. For these reasons, the Urban School Professional Network was formed.
